Some people have reported problems compiling with gcc-2.7.2.2 (and 2.7.2.3, to a lesser extent). Certain type of programs (for instance, those that divide by a constant of zero, or do other semi-questionable arithmetic) cause these compilers to crash with a signal 6 error. Programs known to do this in some instances include glibc, pine, gmp, and ssh. The problems don't seem to happen with gcc-2.7.2.1, so this package (which contains both C and C++) is provided as a fall-back version if needed. Install as usual: installpkg gcc2721.tgz
